We started this project in early 2005 when we lost our bookkeeper Paula to the important task of "the family."  Cash for continued labor costs and qualified candidates were scarce, so we re-engineered the way we balanced our daily books.  The idea had been tossed around the office for years.  And thanks to ingenuity and hard work, we began making the cash handling process more accurate and less time consuming by using the technology of today. 

With parental pride and faith in the beauty we had created, the PAULA prototype was welcomed into the world on April 24th, 2005.  The first version went into effect at all three of the stores.  Over time, we have re-engineered and perfected our darling into PAULA 2.  She is in final BETA testing now at stores across the west coast.  PAULA 2.0 was released into the BETA test world on September 11th of 2006.  This version has evolved into a personality that has changed the traditional systems of cash control and made them into a Perfectly Accurate Unconditional Lenitive Accountant.
